Louis Armstrong

Louis Armstrong is a well know musician. He was born on August 4, 1901 and he died on July 6, 1971. His nick name was Satchmo. He is American Jazz trumpeter and singer from New Orleans, Louisiana. His genre was Dixieland, Jazz, Swing and traditional Pop. Louis Armstrong was the first African American to "cross over" who's skin color was secondary to his amazing talent. He associated acts with Joe "King" Oliver, Ella Fitzgerald, Kid Ory and Bobby Hackett
